2 week catch up….

Wow I can’t believe that I missed a post last week.  eek!  I’ve had a few crazy weeks with a lot of things going on!

But I have finished my Comfy Socks II.  They are a little bigger (go figure) than I would have wanted but they do fit!  The pattern was just the basic sock pattern.  The yarn is Aslan Trends Royal Alpaca in the spice color way.  I think this is one of my favorite yarns!  It is so soft and warm!

The leg of the sock is 6″ & I did 15 rows for the heel flap and the foot is 9 1/2″ before the decrease for the toe.  I finished it up with the kitcheners stitch.

Even though they are done & they came out really nice & he loves them, I’m still not satisfied.  There will probably be a comfy sock III in the works soon.  🙂

It’s so hard to get a sock to fit him.  The regular sock patterns are too small.  I have to figure something out.

I also finished the Lacy Diamonds Dishcloth.    I have to say I was not crazy about this pattern.  I don’t know what it was about it but I just didn’t like knitting it.  It was a chore to finish it LOL  And it really shouldn’t have taken me as long as it did but ugh….  I just didn’t ever want to pick it up.  But, it is done! YAY!  And I don’t know that I will knit it again.  The pattern didn’t have any edging to it so I cast on 8 additional stitches, 4 on each side, and did 4 rows of garter stitch.  The yarn I used was Sugar N Cream.  It’s a light blue, not sure why in the pictures it looks grey to me.  Oh well.

I’m almost done with my afghan.  I’m going to work on that now until I finish it.  I think I have about a foot more to go on it.  So I won’t show any pictures here because it will have its own post.  🙂

Last week we went to Disney with my sister & my 4 year old nephew.  Had a blast!  It was so awesome to see Disney through a child’s eye!  We went to Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival.  I had never been and didn’t know what to expect.  But it was really cool, We really enjoyed it.  There were food stations from all over the world!  The portions were small so you could just keep going to the next one & not become super stuffed.  We had dinner in France which was very very good!  I would definitely recommend it.  As well as Germany!

We also went to Disney Studios where my sister and I rode the Rocking Roller Coaster & the Tower of Terror!  Looooved it!!!  🙂  And finally the Magic Kingdom.  I can’t even begin to explain the amount of people that were there!  It was super super crowded!  The other parks weren’t bad but Magic Kingdom was really crowded.  We had dinner at the Crystal Palace with Pooh & Friends.  The food was really good.  It was an all you can eat buffet.

We wanted to stay and watch the fireworks & the night time parade but the crowds were just too much so we left about 30 minutes before it started.  We had a really good time!  And the weather was perfect!
