Catching up…..

Wow, I can’t believe it has been 4 weeks since my last post!  Eeek!!  I wish I could say I have a bunch of FOs… but I don’t.  😦  Though I have been working on a couple of things.  I finished another pair of yoga socks.  I like these much better than the previous ones that I made using the stretchy yarn.

This was done using Yoga Socks #153 by Patons.  And I used Plymouth yarn Sockotta in pink/green/orange.  I loved this yarn!!  Too bad it is discontinued!!  Thankfully there was enough left over so I can squeeze out another pair of socks & I do have another skein of this but in blues & greens in my stash!!  🙂

The pattern is easy to remember, 8 row repeat.  It looks great & is nice & stretchy!  I loved the no heel aspect of it!  They knitted up pretty quickly too!  I hope the recipient loves them as much as I enjoyed knitting them!  I’m going to have to make more of these!  LOL

Don’t you just love the pattern that the repeat rows made!

I also decided since I had some left over neon sock yarn to make a pair of ankle socks.  I’m not really using a pattern for this.  Just kinda doing a normal vanilla ribbed sock.  I really was not happy with the previous pattern I used for this yarn & I’m still upset over how they came out.  So I decided I was going to reduce the number of stitches that I cast on & a smaller needle.  I’m using size 1 DPN & I cast on 52 stitches.  I’m hoping to finish these this week.  But so far I’m happy with the fit & the way they came out.

I’m actually loving ankle socks!  They knit up so quickly!!  I will probably start making more of these with left over sock yarn.  🙂

And in the last 4 weeks since my last blog post we also were cruising the Caribbean!  We had such a great time!  Visited some beautiful places!  Soaked up the sun on some of the most gorgeous beaches!  My absolute favorite spots were Grand Turk & Aruba!  I should probably do a blog post about the trip because I want to share my pictures & the experience so maybe if I have time in the coming weeks I will do that.  But in the mean time here are a few pictures of the stunning beaches!:
